Our 2021 Christmas Donations Appeal

Will you help us to reach and support more CLL patients this Christmas?

Baubles on a christmas tree

This year has been another difficult year for everyone, especially for the vulnerable and the charities that support them, like CLL Support.

We know that this Christmas may be very different from usual, and a difficult time for you, your family, and friends. As we come to the end of 2021, we want to give you a chance to take something positive from this year and make a real difference.

Making a donation to CLL Support will help you make that real difference.

Please click here to donate now.

It’s a chance for us to come together (however we can) to support the charity that has supported us, our families and our communities throughout the pandemic – answering helplines, running webinars and support groups, lobbying on behalf of our community for better support, treatments and guidance through this pandemic year.

We want to continue to offer the expanded services and believe these will still be needed in 2022.

So, here is an opportunity for you, your family, and friends to help your charity. The charity that helps you.

What can you do? If you can afford it, please consider making a donation. If possible, a regular monthly donation would be even more helpful.

How your money will help

£2.50 could pay for an information pack to be sent out to a new CLL Support member.

Many of our new members are newly diagnosed and need urgent information on their condition, we post an information pack to all new members that join. They are often worried and confused and they find the information that we provide invaluable. In addition to this service to new members, this year we have printed and sent out an updated information pack to all our UK based members.

£10.00 could pay for a one-hour helpline call to someone in need of help and support.

Our phone line is run by volunteers who are there to give compassionate advice and support, they help people with CLL and their friends and family to share their concerns with someone who really understands. During the pandemic, calls to our helpline have increased by 400%.

£35.00 could cover the cost of producing and sending an email bulletin to all our members.

We produce regular news updates to inform our members of all upcoming events and latest news on CLL. We are at the forefront of current CLL advice and in touch with the top CLL experts in the UK. To keep up with the ever- changing government guidance and to ensure our members receive the latest information from a trusted source we have doubled the number of email bulletins we normally send.

£50.00 would go a long way to paying for a conference place in 2022.

We usually have up to about 100 attendees, and we want to keep our conferences free for all who attend so that there is no financial barrier for anyone who needs our help. We also run a bursary scheme to help members travel to conferences who otherwise couldn’t afford to come.

Thanks to your generosity last year, we were able to help fund the new wellbeing website.

CLL Support exists for you. It is uniquely run by unpaid volunteers who all have CLL or have a loved one with CLL. Help us to help you, your family and the 45,000 people in the UK with CLL. Thank you.

With sincere best wishes from all your friends at CLL Support and wishing you a peaceful and safe Christmas to you, your family and friends.
