London 10k Run 2012

BRITISH 10K RUN Powered by Nike+

Earlier this year we decided to book 6 places on the British 10k Run which is being held in London (see our fundraising article). It looks as though it is going to be an exciting event with a route around central London. The route will take in some of the iconic sights of London such as:

• Big Ben

• Houses of Parliament

• The London Eye

• St Paul's Cathedral

• Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column

• Westminster Abbey

We had such a great response that we booked more places. We now have 10 runners signed up and another 8 places still to be reserved. We have asked all runners to raise a minimum of £200 in sponsorship to help cover our costs and raise some funds for the CLLSA.

We are very grateful to all of those who have signed up. One of our runners has set up a just giving page which can be found here:

We are also very pleased to announce that one of our new trustees is also running. Dr Samir Agrawal is in training at present and is looking forward to the challenge! If you know anyone who enjoys running and would like to run such an iconic route please email:

We can then send you an application form and, when we receive the completed form, we can reserve your place.
