Cardiff Conference - 23rd January 2020

The first CLL Support conference of 2020 will be held in central Cardiff at the Hiliton Cardiff.

The focus of the day will be ‘psychological support and mental wellbeing’. Our key note speaker will be Professor Chris Fegan, MB, MD, FRCP, FRCPath, Consultant Haematologist School of Medicine Cardiff University

This is a great opportunity to meet others living with CLL; learn about living with CLL together; discuss latest developments and resources that are available to you.

Registration opens at 10 am.  Speakers include:

Professor Chris Fegan: Consultant Haematologist School of Medicine Cardiff University:  What does a diagnosis of CLL actually mean for patients and what are the essential steps for patients to take?

Janice Rees, Macmillan Consultant Clinical Psychologist:  The importance of mental wellbeing for cancer patients. Dealing with anxiety, stress, depression related to the condition.

John Perkins – Ret’d GP  On improving mental wellbeing for patients and supporters alike.

Sarah Draper, Specialist Oncology Dietitian. Haematology, Royal Gwent Hospital: The importance of good nutrition.

There is no cost to attend and a complimentary lunch and refreshments will be provided. However voluntary donations are appreciated and donation envelopes will be available at the event.
