Terence John Hamblin 1943 - 2012

Professor T Hamblin (DM, FRCP, FRCPath, FMedSci)

Peacefully passed away shortly before 1.00 AM on Sunday 8th January 2012.

Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time,

Professor Hamblin has played such a key role in the development and understanding of CLL medicine and its treatment and has always remained an active influence. He has tirelessly helped so many of us, at the bedside, the bench and in his continuing support and education of all touched by CLL. Always willing to personally contact and help those in need of answers. No matter what else he was working on or dealing with, he was always there for those on various lists and never tired of providing us with understandable information to help us all live to the full with our disease. His personal writing and scientific publications will always be with us as we continue our journeys.

We were privileged to have Professor Hamblin's support as CLL expert to the association and his passing is such a great loss to us all.

Details of the thanksgiving service will be posted on his blog in the near future. You can express your condolences on the blog.http://mutated-unmuated.blogspot.com
