Forum(s) Terms of Use

 

By using the forum(s) you agree to these terms.

All messages placed on the forums are the opinion of the author and are not the views and opinions of the CLL Support Association.

 

Use by you of the forum(s) is entirely at your own risk.

 

You are responsible for the content of the messages you post and any consequences that flow from such posting(s).

 

The CLL Support Association will not be liable for any errors or omissions in any postings or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any information contained in the forum(s).

 

The CLL Support Association makes no guarantee or gives warranty of any kind whatsoever (whether express or implied) in relation to your use of the forum (s) or any use by third parties.

 

The CLL Support Association shall not be liable for any loss or damage (whether direct, indirect, consequential, financial or otherwise) arising from the use of (or in connection with) the forum(s).

 

The CLL Support Association forums are for users who are 16 years and older only.

 

The aim of the forums is to provide a safe and friendly environment where users can share information and offer mutual support.

 

Please be aware that because of the nature of CLL, users need to be mindful and respectful of any content which may cause upset or offend fellow users.

 

Please respect others at all times.

 

Please do not post any information that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, vulgar, profane, obscene, may cause personal distress, offensive, defamatory, false, libellous, hateful, racially, sexually or otherwise discriminatory or post any information that is otherwise (at the absolute discretion of the CLL Support Association) objectionable.

 

 

 

We would encourage any user who has objections to a particular message to contact the CLL Support Association by emailing info@cllsupport.org.uk.

 

Postings that give diagnoses or medical and treatment advice are not acceptable.

 

Information posted by other users should never be considered a substitute for advice that can only be provided by a health professional.

 

Please do not promote the use of alternative treatments.

 

Messages that are critical of individuals or health professionals, specific treatments, services or treatment units will be removed. This is to ensure that others are not discouraged from getting the help they need.

 

As a user you must be aware that there will be constant monitoring of the forums. Any messages which users deem to be unacceptable will be removed at the sole discretion of the CLL Support Association

 

Anyone who persistently posts unacceptable messages will be permanently excluded from using this service at the sole discretion of the CLL Support Association.

 

You must only post material that you have written. You cannot post poetry or songs written by other people. You may not violate, plagiarise, or infringe on the rights of third parties including copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, privacy, personal, publicity or proprietary rights.

 

We reserve the right to remove references to films, television programmes, books, newspapers, magazines etc which we do not believe are appropriate for the forum(s)

 

We don’t allow spamming or advertising. You must not promote or endorse any business or commercial goods.

 

Requests from organisations or the media must come via an approach to the CLL Support Association.

 

You must not impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your association with a person or entity.

 

As detailed in our privacy policy, The CLL Support Association does not pass any information on about its users.

 

You must not post any information that may be invasive of another's privacy or violate the rights of any other user, or of any other third party in any way.

 

You must not post any information that is confidential and/ or commercially sensitive.

 

You must not post any information that would be in breach of a court order from a court of competent jurisdiction.

 

The CLL Support Association reserves the right to make changes to the terms of use when necessary and without notice, but we will do our best to ensure that any significant changes are made clear to all registered users.

 

The CLL Support Association cannot guarantee that you will be protected from computer viruses or other malicious internet activity and recommends that you install internet protection software which includes antivirus, privacy protection and intruder prevention and detection.

 

Any information disclosed on the forum(s) will become public information.

 

For your own safety you should not disclose personal information such as your e-mail address, home address or telephone number (or any other information which could identify you indirectly) on the forum(s).

 

By uploading content to our website you are giving us perpetual, royalty-free and non-exclusive license to use it in CLL Support Association publications, appeals, press releases and other material without charge.

 

If any of these terms are determined to be illegal, invalid, or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of England, then to the extent permitted such illegal, invalid or unenforceable term (s) shall be severed and deleted from these terms and the remaining terms shall survive and continue to be binding and enforceable.
